Who Am I and How Can I Help You?

I’ve been around the pike. Probably several times.

My life took several turns so far - from surviving cancer, escaping a corporate cult, writing and publishing a couple hundred plus fiction and non-fiction works, all while researching what makes things tick on this mud-ball planet. Along with all that, I got several college degrees.

Research fueled my adventures - wanting to know since age 8 about what made things work and why the world’s laws and rules didn’t seem to have routinely predictable results. And I wrote up everything as I found it. Each discovery led to another question - until finally, one day everything got answered.

After that, I had a set of principles that explained anything I ran into. Literally any thing. That wrapped up my production of several series of books that laid out how these principles work.

I found I had all the income I needed, an always-on inspiration that gave me innumerable stories to write, and most important: I saw that I needed to get this all out to you.

It’s fun having perpetual peace of mind. Not worrying about money or love or politics. Everything is an adventure now - all problems are solvable.

Of course, that’s all pipe dreams for most people. We all live lives where we want simple solutions to the problem in front of us. Meanwhile, people are telling us that life is tough, hard, and full of problems. But they are really just projecting their own cynical attitudes and failed solutions.

So, in my late 60’s, I’m here to tell you - it will all work out OK. You only have to have and follow your chosen purpose. Heady words. So I break down sometimes overwhelming problems into their simple solutions. Yes, these are now growing and expanding from published books and articles into more digestible short courses. That’s our current journey.

I’m happily married and we are building our own next tiny home, along with livestock and gardens and orchards.

And yes, every day of your life should be fun, enjoyable, rewarding. Creative living is the constant goal.

That’s our life these days. I can show you how to start achieving this for yourself.

In my experience, there is an underlying natural system to living well. It has four interactive elements:

  1. Keeping a productive, upbeat attitude. Means knowing how the mind works and how to stack your mindset.

  2. Eating well, and keeping your body fit - knowing how to procure healthy food and the discipline of enjoyable exercise..

  3. Giving value and getting a viable exchange - not just having a job, but also working at a side-hustle as an entrepreneur. Something you’d love to do and getting paid for your efforts.

  4. Engaging and building a community - helping others to live their own lives better, with less stress.

Those last two can be accomplished here on Substack. All just need to be formed into good habits. IMHO.

As you focus on improving any of these four areas, the rest expand as well. It’s a natural system.

I write in three areas every week:

Writerpreneur - all about the craft and business of writing and publishing. Simple common-sense approaches to age-old phantoms of writer’s block, imposter syndrome, inconsistent production - all these keep a person from writing the stories they know are in them and crying to get out.

Tiny Homestead Living - I live and operate a working farm. On a few acres of this, I’m developing a sustainable and self-reliant homestead where we intend to produce most of our food and bring in additional income to more than cover our costs of living. All in a rural lifestyle full of beauty and peace.

Your Expectancy - It’s a simple phrase that explains all living: you get out what you put in. Or: what you expect, you receive. There are many authors who have written about this over the ages, and all the top self-help and goal achievement books through our published history. They essentially are all saying the same thing, like a song that everyone knows parts of - and sing or hum to themselves in different keys, with different words to a common tune.

On top of that, I also publish my collected original fiction as serials. Because I wrote them as parables, as well as fun entertainment.

But you can turn off any newsletters you don’t want to receive at any time. They’ll still be available in the archives.

Subscribers get access to all my decades of research, and are able to download digital versions of both fiction and non-fiction works I’ve published.

We’re also starting a community where we can discuss many of these life solutions and common problems. Writing, homesteading, living well. Our shared experiences and solutions are useful others - and as you help others, you then receive help you need. It’s that Golden Rule thing.

Stay up-to-date

Never miss an update—by default every new post is sent directly to your email inbox.

I publish four or five times per week. And daily interact with Notes on Substack when there’s something I know that can would help someone in some way. Again, you can choose of which newsletters you want.

As I work through all the research and writings I’ve done, I polish these up in the Archives and re-release them. You’ll also stay up to date where I cobble these into singular approaches to solving common scenes - whether this is about writing/publishing, homesteading, or living a more consistently joyous and peaceful life.

For a spam-free, ad-free reading experience, plus audio and community features, I recommend you get the Substack app. You can also have all my newsletters funneled there where you can read and respond simply, instead of your inbox.
